However, sometimes unwanted excess occurs, especially in rings. Since sanding can be tiring and the tools expensive, I've brought you a method for sanding resin rings easily in two quick and inexpensive steps. This method is useful for rings or small excesses but is not suitable for mold-free casting.

Resin sanding: Required Tools:
- Microfiber towel
- Nail file
- Mask
- Soap
- Water spray
- Toothpick
A mask that protects against sanding dust, which affects the respiratory system, is essential. Nail files are the cheapest and fastest alternative to sandpaper; designate one for resin only. Soap and water reduce scratches, facilitate the process, and reduce the resulting dust.
Resin sanding Step 1: Preparing and Sanding
Remove Large Excesses:
If there are large excesses, remove them with a cutter as shown in the video before you start.
Set Up Your Workspace:
Place the pieces you will sand on a microfiber towel.
Apply Soap and Water:
Put soap on the surface you will sand and on the nail file, then sprinkle water.
Start Sanding:
Start sanding in the same way as shown in the video (if it's unclear, slow down the video to see the method). Wipe with the towel periodically and check the progress until you reach the desired result. You will notice the piece has become blurry. This leads us to the next step.

You have three solutions for the polishing step, choose according to your capabilities:
Nail Polish:
The first solution is to polish it with nail polish. Ensure that the brush is smooth, does not tarnish, and does not turn yellow after it dries. This method is preferable for small areas, like the surface of a ring. doesn't make time to dry and gives instant results
Resin Layer:
The second and best solution is to apply a light layer of resin, as demonstrated in the video. Using a toothpick, take a small amount and apply it to the blurry area. You'll see it turning shiny (watch it in the video). Be careful to spread it well and focus on keeping it on the surface so it doesn't fall on the rest of the piece, ruining it. Let it cure properly. it gives better results but takes additional time to cure.
Scratch Remover and Polish:
The third option is to use a scratch remover and polish. However, if you don't need them often, the other solutions are better.
